Starting in 2019, China has imported more fresh durians than cherries, and durians have become China’s largest imported fruit. According to statistics, in 2020 China’s imports of the largest fresh fruits are durian, cherry, banana, mangosteen, grapes, dragon fruit, longan, kiwi and oranges. The imports of these 9 fruits account for 78% of China’s total fruit imports. , Durian alone accounts for 23% of total imports, and more than 90% of fresh durians are imported from Thailand.
